Teacher Certification Process - Student Enrollment

Important

Grade eligible students who submit multiple SDCCD online applications or do not submit one at all will not receive college credit.

  1. Work with your students to complete the SDCCD online application
    • Students will need their Social Security #'s and a valid e-mail address to complete this step. Please note: Students completing an SDCCD app for the first time will receive a 7-digit SDCCD College Student Identification # (CSID) by e-mail within 24 to 48 hours.
    • If your students already have an SDCCD application on file, they will not need to complete another one. They will only complete step 2 - the Tech Prep CATEMA process which requires that they use their SDCCD CSID#.
  2. Work with your students to create a CATEMA account and add your class to their account
    • If students already have a CATEMA account, they should not create another one. Students will only need to add your class(es) for the new academic year.
    • Students will use their SDCCD CSID # that was assigned after completing step 1. (It should be entered as "S0" + the 7-digit number assigned.) If students do not receive their SDCCD CSID #'s immediately upon completion of the college application, they can still complete the CATEMA process using their SS#. (High school ID number should not be used.)
    • Completing the CATEMA process takes less than 10 minutes for most students.

* 4x4 schools will need to complete the certification process for both terms.
