- Work with your students to complete the SDCCD online application
- Students will need their Social Security #'s and a valid e-mail address to complete this step. Please note: Students completing an SDCCD app for the first time will receive a 7-digit SDCCD College Student Identification # (CSID) by e-mail within 24 to 48 hours.
- If your students already have an SDCCD application on file, they will not need to complete another one. They will only complete step 2 - the Tech Prep CATEMA process which requires that they use their SDCCD CSID#.
- Work with your students to create a CATEMA account and add your class to their account
- If students already have a CATEMA account, they should not create another one. Students will only need to add your class(es) for the new academic year.
- Students will use their SDCCD CSID # that was assigned after completing step 1. (It should be entered as "S0" + the 7-digit number assigned.) If students do not receive their SDCCD CSID #'s immediately upon completion of the college application, they can still complete the CATEMA process using their SS#. (High school ID number should not be used.)
- Completing the CATEMA process takes less than 10 minutes for most students.
* 4x4 schools will need to complete the certification process for both terms.
