The 'Hit the Road' regional professional development activity is an innovative project that was lead jointly by the San Diego Community College District Tech Prep Program and the San Diego Unified Schools Office of College, Career and Technical Education. Funding support was provided through the Carl D. Perkins career technical education act and the project was modeled from the book and television series Roadtrip Nation by Marriner, Gebhard, and Gordan (http://roadtripnation.com).
